About Us Brundell Woolley Limited is a firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors based in the beautiful city of Lincoln specialising in the cost management of historic buildings and landscapes and select commercial developments. It was set up by Richard and Vanessa Woolley in 2005 and both Directors are actively involved with every commission that the firm undertakes. Each Director has over 30 years of experience within the industry and across a wide variety of projects and sectors. A full range of quantity surveying, cost management and employer’s agent services can be provided. Clients include private individuals and estates, parish church councils, preservation trusts, local authorities and commercial organisations. The firm has considerable experience of projects funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Richard Woolley BSc Hons MRICS Richard graduated from Nottingham Trent University with an honours degree in Quantity Surveying and became a member of the RICS in 1999. Prior to the formation of Brundell Woolley, he was employed as a Senior Surveyor and then Associate at cost consultancy firms in Leicester, Nottingham and Lincoln. He has a particular interest in historic buildings and landscapes, is a member of the RICS Building Conservation Group and SPAB, and is committed to continuing to develop his knowledge base in this specialist field. Richard also has a wealth of experience of projects in the commercial sector and, in addition to providing quantity surveying services, has acted as Employer’s Agent, Project Co-ordinator and Funder’s Monitoring Surveyor. Vanessa Woolley BSc Hons Vanessa also graduated from Nottingham Trent University with an honours degree in Quantity Surveying. Following graduation, she gained valuable experience as a contractor’s quantity surveyor and was involved in a number of high profile commercial projects. Later she enjoyed working as a part time lecturer in quantity surveying at Nottingham Trent University and a freelance surveyor until the formation of Brundell Woolley. She has a comprehensive understanding of the preparation of tender documents and has considerable experience with the use of specialist surveying software. Like Richard, she appreciates working with both old and new buildings.
