Coach House & Clock Tower Range, Elvaston Castle Estate, Derbyshire

A comprehensive restoration and refurbishment project on a group of buildings within the Elvaston Castle Country Park Estate in Derbyshire. The original coach house range required re-roofing in Westmoreland green slates with significant structural timber repairs, repairs to stonework and brickwork elevations and repairs to metal framed leaded light windows. The clock tower was completely renewed (to replace an inappropriate 20thC asbestos clad example) and resplendently clad in traditional copper ‘scales’. The original clock face and internal mechanism was also fully restored.
