Arabella Aufrere Temple, Brocklesby Estate, Lincolnshire

The restoration and repair of a temple within the Brocklesby Estate in North East Lincolnshire.

Arabella Aufrere Temple is a Grade II* 18th C temple.

The Temple was in a poor state of repair and required to be partially dismantled and reconstructed. Badly damaged stone columns, ashlars, balusters, urns and other carved sections were replaced, the roof was re-slated, stone pavings made good, brickwork flank walls rebuilt using replacement handmade bricks, repairs carried out to lime plastered internal walls and ceilings with chestnut lath backings and renewed cast iron rainwater goods.
